2nd Shift Operations Manager

This role will be for Monday - Friday 4:30pm - 1:00am

The FilterEasy operations team is a rapidly growing team of highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals who operate within a faster-paced work environment. The driving force of this style of work is our operation team's main purpose: e-commerce fulfillment. What exactly is e-commerce fulfillment? It's the complete process from purchasing our products online to the delivery of our product to our customers. In this case, our products are air filters and our customers are homeowners, and small businesses. The ideal candidate for a FilterEasy Operations Manager would be an individual with a strong work ethic (as most of our operations are hands-on), self motivation, consistent attention to detail, commitment to customer service, and great problem solving skills. They should also be expected and interested in gaining an understanding of all aspects of FilterEasy fulfillment (from the time of product sales to product shipment) and adhere to strict safety, quality, and service standards.

Job Summary

The Operations Manager will be responsible for floor operations and the success of the warehouse team.  Starting out, you will assist with facility installs and warehouse fulfillment and shipping operations. As time progresses, you will assist in on-boarding new teammates, training, and holding teammates responsible for their success.  

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assists in developing warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
  • Assists in developing warehouse design by planning layout, product flow, and product handling systems; evaluating and recommending new equipment.
  • Assists in developing warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing process workflow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout; implementing changes.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Assists in controlling inventory levels and physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by assisting in the planning and implementing of new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Assists in managing warehouse team job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing additional tasks as needed.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies when necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2+ years of warehouse management experience with direct reports
  • Demonstrate ability to stay organized and efficient
  • Communicate openly and constantly with all other staff members
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and identify a problem before it exists and resolve it.
  • Ability to pass a background, driving, drug test, and physical
  • Bending, lifting, sorting on daily basis; lifting and carrying up 20 lbs on a regular and consistent basis, and as much as 50 lbs on occasion
  • Ability to climb stairs
  • Basic technology skills
  • Management skills and experience including: Supervision, Safety Management, Developing Standards, Managing Processes, Surveillance Skills, Inventory Control, Reporting Skills, Analyzing Information, Equipment Maintenance, Judgment Calls
